Caregivers can use the strategies in the infographic to provide infants with predictability in their day, and safety in relationships- all to support healthy attachment. Infants rely on the adults in their lives to read their cues, and help them to regulate as they adapt to their world. Responsive and positive interactions between infants and their caregivers help to build a strong attachment relationship. Positive attachment relationships support healthy brain development, and set babies up for success to learn about their emotions and build relationships as they grow into toddlers and preschoolers.

MNCoE created this PTR-YC Implementation Guide to support Pyramid Model Implementation Sites in creating the structures that are necessary for PTR-YC to be scaled and sustained! We in Minnesota found that Implementation Sites had a degree of work to do around creating the structures that make PTR-YC happen, so we took this opportunity to create a PTR-YC Implementation Guide supporting programs in developing this structure….so we decided to take a stab at it. While this is a lengthy process programs can choose to go through at their own pace, it eventually supports programs in having the conversations they need to around PTR-YC.

Problem Solving: Including a Fifth Step to Reflect/EvaluateClassroom Material/Visual SupportClassroom Implementation, Practical Strategies, Problem-Solving, Social-Emotional Skills Wake County Public Schools' Preschool Pyramid Model Team09/08/2022Download

This modified version of the Problem-Solving steps adds a fifth step of reflection/evaluation. This encourages teachers help the children reflect on the problems and how effective the solutions were. Coaches can help teachers design solution suitcases that include the steps on the outside and solutions on the inside. Including this fifth step on the outside of the suitcase ensures that it’s not missed by teachers nor students. This resource supports students who thrive on routines and left-to-right visual schedules to be able to follow the process through the four steps and to the fifth of sharing if it worked or not and how they knew or what they would do next time.
